An Inside Job

What pleases God? Furthermore, how do Christians know that God is pleased with them? The religious leaders of Jesus' day would've answered that question in all the wrong ways, just as we often do, even from within the church. Perhaps the reason they misunderstood what pleases God is because they had also misunderstood what caused Him to be displeased with us in the first place... sin springing from deep down in the heart.

In all of their religious structuring and bad perspectives on what it means to be righteous, they had left out God's heart and their own, but the only requirement and effective workplace for God is the human heart, humbly submitted to Him. This is what true religion is all about.
